Refund Policy

First Chorus — Refund Policy.

First Chorus guarantees users' right of withdrawal in accordance with the Act on E-Commerce. The refund criteria and procedures for digital content such as sheet music and lessons are described below. Last revised July 22, 2026.

Article 1 (Refund Principles)

The Company guarantees users' right of withdrawal in accordance with the Act on E-Commerce and related laws. For digital content such as sheet music and lessons, some items may become non-refundable once download or playback begins; detailed criteria are described in the articles below.

Article 2 (Refund Eligibility)

You may request a refund in the following cases. The eligible request period varies by reason.

  • The content (sheet music file, lesson video, etc.) has never been downloaded or played — within 7 days of payment
  • A duplicate payment has occurred
  • A technical defect such as file corruption, inability to download, or a playback error — regardless of whether it was downloaded or played, within 3 months of delivery or within 30 days of when you became aware (or could have become aware) of the defect
  • The actual content differs significantly from the product description or preview — within the same period as item 3

Article 3 (Cases Where Refunds Are Restricted)

Due to the nature of digital content, change-of-mind refunds (withdrawal) may be restricted in the following cases. Please review the preview and detailed information thoroughly before purchasing.

  • You request a refund simply due to a change of mind after already downloading or playing the content (sheet music file or lesson video)
  • More than 7 days have passed since payment, even if download or playback was not started
  • A change-of-mind refund requested after you have begun using the content
  • Content provided through a promotion or free of charge
NOTICE
Digital content sold on this service — such as sheet music and lessons (lesson videos and sheet music files bundled in a lesson) — loses its value once download or playback begins. Accordingly, the right of withdrawal may be restricted under Article 17(2)5 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. Pursuant to Article 17(3) of the same Act, the Company meets the requirements by (i) clearly indicating the refund restriction on the checkout screen and in this Policy, and (ii) providing a preview (trial) before purchase. However, where the content is divisible, the portion you have not yet begun to use remains eligible for withdrawal. Products that bundle sheet music files within a lesson are not eligible for self-service refunds and are reviewed individually after a customer support request.
IMPORTANT
Where there is a clear discrepancy between the product description or preview and the actual content, or a file defect, a refund is available regardless of whether the content was downloaded or played — within 3 months of delivery (or within 30 days of when you became aware of it). This right is not restricted under any circumstances.

Article 4 (Refund Procedure)

Refunds are processed through the following steps and are returned to the original payment method within 3 business days. Depending on the payment method, completion of the refund may take additional time.

  1. Request a refund under My Page > Purchase History, or contact customer support (some products, such as lessons that bundle sheet music, are reviewed individually after a customer support request)
  2. The Company verifies whether the refund requirements are met (1–2 business days)
  3. Upon approval, the refund is processed to the original payment method (card payment cancellation or bank deposit)
  4. After the refund is completed, the result is notified by email

Article 5 (Refund Processing Time)

Payment methodRefund processing time
Credit card3–7 business days for the card issuer after authorization is canceled
Bank transfer / virtual account1–3 business days after the refund is approved
Easy payment (Kakao Pay, etc.)1–5 business days according to each provider's policy

Article 6 (Relationship with Artist Settlements)

Transactions confirmed for refund are excluded from the relevant artist's settlement. Where a refund occurs for a transaction that has already been settled, it is deducted in the next settlement cycle.

Article 7 (Inquiries and Requests)

Please submit refund-related inquiries through the channel below. We respond within 1–2 business days.
